Limitations
React Native 0.76+
is required to use boxShadow and filter props.
On
Android,
normal shadows are supported only on Android 9+, and inset shadows are supported only on Android 10+.
On
Android,
blur and drop-shadow effects in the filter property are supported only on Android 12+.
On
iOS,
the filter property supports only brightness and opacity.
Filters on
iOS,
do not apply to shadows, outlines, or any graphical elements outside the bounds of the element.
The
filter
property implies
overflow: hidden
, so children positioned outside the bounds of the parent element will be clipped.
The default shadow color for
boxShadow
is black, not inherited from the parent’s color.
